Purchasing Agent Duties & Responsibilities:

Seek reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices
Negotiate prices and contracts
Develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans
Review technical specifications for raw materials, supplies, etc
Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
Forecast upcoming demand
Issue POs

 

Experience & Skills:

1-3 Years of relevant experience
Experience in commercial electrical contracting a plus
Must be able to excel in a high-pressure environment
Highly organized, detail oriented and efficient while multi-taking
Strong communication skill and the ability to work with others in a team environment
Self-motivated needing minimal supervision
Easily adaptable and comfortable with change
Strong proficiency using Microsoft Excel
